GYM CLASSES ARE BACK AND WE’RE DRESSING FOR THE OCCASION

We can hardly believe it ourselves, but the time has finally arrived. After months of virtual workouts, flitting motivation and going it alone, group fitness classes are back! No more throwing on yesterday’s sweatpants 30 seconds before clicking into our Zoom class, or doing yoga in our pyjamas with the camera resolutely off. (Just us?) So, whether you need a little extra motivation to get booking or just deserve a well-earned wardrobe refresh, here are a few looks that will leave you looking and feeling great as you get back in the studio.

PE Nation

We’d wear PE Nation all day every day if we could. In fact, can we? This luxury activewear brand is performance led and fashion forward. We love their signature colour blocking on this retro track jacket, which promises to leave an impression in the gym and everywhere else that you will want to wear it. All this and it arrived from Australia in a fully compostable ‘plastic bag’. We’re in and buying the whole collection.

Steve Madden

Steve Madden had us feeling like we could step on the set of Honey in this crop jumper and trackie bottom combo. Needless to say after a short contemplation, we decided to stick to boxing. The slightly slouchy fit is flattering, super comfortable and comes in a range of pastels and muted colours.  Whether you are heading to the gym, or just want to look like you might, their new collection has you covered. We’re not here to judge.

Onzie

Onzie promises to ‘inspire playfulness in every move’ and this colour splash cami top does just that. Paired with the new Serena leggings from Fogal, a Swiss brand renowned for its ‘fine hosiery’ who have literally made fancy tights for the gym! These understated leggings are seamless and breathable with a high waistband that Will. Not. Budge.

Boody

Boody had us at “sustainable, comfy and eco-friendly”. This classic racerback sports bra is supportive and so incredibly soft that you will not want to take it off. It’s also simple enough to complement even the wildest of prints. Handy for these Adidas Pacer shorts – made from recycled materials with Aeroready technology, these will keep you dry all through those hot summer runs (too hopeful?). Added bonus – they’re perfect for Carnival.

North Face

The sometimes-serious North Face has embraced tie dye and we don’t quite know what to do with ourselves. This slightly cropped top is breathable, stretchy and lightweight. Perfect whether you’re back in the gym or still trying to plan your activewear looks around the ever-changing elements. This one is an ASOS exclusive and comes with lots of matching pieces. Is there such a thing as too much tie-dye? Nah.

Area Code

Luxury Swedish brand Area Code is on a mission to connect consumers with those in need. They’re striving to have a meaningful impact through each purchase, with profits currently supporting a school in Senegal. They have a range of looks that will take you from barre to bar, and have you feeling unbelievably comfortable along the way. And just to build that extra hype, you have to request to get into their website. This cut out body and wide leg jogger were worth the wait.

So whether you’re easing yourself back into fitness, or literally lunging through the studio door at 6am on Monday morning, we back you to do it in style.
