GREAT SCOTLAND YARD HOTEL TO OPEN

Scotland Yard used to be somewhere you definitely wouldn’t want to go but now you’ll be clamouring to spend the night inside as the former Met Police headquarters has been turned into a 152-bedroom hotel. Great Scotland Yard is the first UK site under Hyatt’s luxury Unbound Collection and the building, constructed in 1910, has undergone a huge makeover. Alongside the bedrooms, which will be kitted out with all the mod cons and some historical touches thrown in, there’ll also be a standalone townhouse available to book too.

Robin Gill of Darby’s is overseeing all the food and drink at the hotel. The Yard restaurant will celebrate the best of British produce with dishes like fallow deer with damson & baked celeriac and apple tarte tatin with quince puree and salted popcorn parfait, whilst The Parlour will serve an updated take on afternoon tea. Great Scotland Yard will be home to two bars as well; there’s 40 Elephants, inspired by a notorious all-female gang, and drinking den Sibin, which’ll have a focus on whiskey. And you can 25% OFF your total bill at The Yard, The Parlour and The 40 Elephants during the soft launch, running from 9th – 22nd December.

Opens Mon 9th December 2019
3-5 Scotland Yard, London SW1A 2HW
