GORDON RAMSAY TO OPEN LUCKY CAT

It’s all change in Mayfair as Gordon Ramsay is closing his restaurant maze, which has been going for 14 years, and replacing it with Lucky Cat. Inspired by 1930s drinking dens in the Far East, Lucky Cat will be the restaurant group’s version of an Asian eating house and late-night lounge.

Ben Orpwood (the Executive Chef at maze who has also worked at Sexy Fish and Zuma) is in charge of the menu, which features sushi, sashimi, buns, dumplings, tempura and robata dishes. After the social media storm that ensued after the restaurant’s preview evening, we’ll be very interested to see how this goes down.
