Towards the back end of last year Google Launched a new app, an app to revolutionalise the way we receive information, tips, and insight on the things we are interested in the world over. The Google Field Trip app unlocks the hidden and gives a unique insight at your fingers tips. Well of course we’re part of it, but here’s how it works. You down load the app and declare what interests you, say restaurant, or history or whatever you like. Then when you walk near to a ‘place of interest’ you’ll get a notification on your devices, this then bring a number of options to you, to view the content from people like us and see what we’ve wrote about it, so you could be walking past a place you never even knew was there and then ping, we’re telling you about a secret knock and your inside a 1940’s style cocktail bar that’s hidden behind a bookcase.
Better still you dont even need to read anything that is displayed, the app will read it to you, so stick your headphones on and get into character. The Google Field Trip app just launched on ISO so you can get it on your iPhone, check it our, declare you interests and let the app do the talking while you do the walking.
