It’s stomped across New York City and Tokyo and in the new year, Godzilla is heading for London. The iconic monster is taking over Mayfair’s retro ramen bar Heddon Yokocho for a collab pop-up, which’ll see retro film posters and 1.7-metre Godzilla models dotted throughout the restaurant (if you snap a pic with one of the monster models you could be in with a chance of winning a Godzilla prize bundle), and plenty of Godzilla merch on offer too.
The menu is also getting a monster makeover too, with limited edition dishes like the Gojira Volcano Ramen (with miso & pork broth, extra pork belly and a Godzilla-inspired heat ray spicy sauce), the Kaiju Volcano Ramen (with veggie broth, ganmo tofu and spicy sauce), King of the Monsters Matcha Cheesecake, and Mothra’s Favourite Mochi Ice Cream. And you can wash all that down with a Wake Me Up In Tokyo cocktail, made with umeshu, whisky, yuzu, jalapeno and edible Godzilla decorations. The big guy will only be rampaging through the restaurant for a month, so don’t leave it too late to get in there and get slurping.
