If you’re a fan of horror films, October is *your* month. Cinemas across town are breaking out the Halloween classics in the run-up to the big day, but Genesis is doing something extra special with an evening presented by Girls in Film, a platform that represents, champions and connects the new generation of female, non-binary and trans creatives in the industry. Through six short films, Femme Frights will explore the ways in which foundational elements of the horror genre – such as madness, hysteria, and fear – can become particularly effective when female, non-binary and trans filmmakers are behind the camera, as well as in front of it.
