Normally found in service stations and corner shops, Ginsters has suddenly gone all posh and launched a range of pasties in Selfridges Food Hall of all places. Three deluxe pasties – wagyu beef & truffle oil, flame grilled chicken with coconut & lemon and roasted cauliflower & mature cheddar cheese – all finished with buttery pastry and an artisan hand-crimp have been created by Cornish chef Chris Eden of Michelin-starred Gidleigh Park in honour of Cornish Pasty Week.
The pasties, the most luxurious ones Ginsters have made in their 50 years in business, will only set you back £4.99 but you will have to get down to the Selfridges deli counter to get your hands on one.
