based distortion devotees GHXST have returned with a pile-up of fuzz-laden guitar, teeth smashing cymbals and hauntingly glacial vocals for their latest single ‘No Luck’. The second track to be taken from the trio’s ‘Nowhere’ EP sees a clamour of styles somewhere between heavy shoegaze, murky post-punk and full on noise rock. There’s a distinctly vexatious vibe yet the track always carries an intoxicatingly hazy undertone too, for a bunch of alleged gho(/x)sts, they’e having no luck in keeping the quiet in quietus.
