It’s World Car Free Day on 22nd September and in an effort to get people out of their vehicles and moving around outside instead, bike companies are giving away free rides.

Brompton

Brompton is giving away 5000 Brompton Bike Hire memberships – that works out to 15,000 free bike hire days. Londoners have been using Brompton since 1975 and since the Brompton Bike Hire scheme was set up in 2011, it’s become the UK’s biggest network of hire bikes, with over 50 docks across the country. The £1 memberships will be credited with 3 free hire days, they’re only available to new members and on a first-come, first-serve basis too, so snap ’em up here.

Lime

Lime, which runs those bright green e-bikes you’ve seen dotted around town, is giving away free rides in London on 21st and 22nd September. You have to be new user and you’ll need to use the promo code CARFREEDAY19L to redeem. Again there’s a limited number available to so jump to it.

There are over 500 bikes available across North London and you can take a free 20 minute ride anywhere in the JUMP service area – just use the promo code LONDONCARFREEDAY19 when booking.
