If you’re stuck in a rut when it comes to eating al desko, we’ve got just the thing that’ll take you beyond the same old meal deal and looking forward to lunches again – salad bar Urban Greens. The company was founded by friends Rushil Ramjee, Houman Ashrafzadeh and Yannis Drivas in 2019 after they became bored with the lunch options they had on offer in their corporate roles, and it now boasts three London locations; St James’s Park, Canary Wharf, and the newest addition, St Paul’s.
Urban Greens is all about making salads with bags of flavour, using only the best fresh, seasonal ingredients, such as red rice, beet hummus, ginger pickled carrots, sesame-marinated glass noodles, cajun-spiced tempeh, manuka smoked salmon, and shredded kale. There are 12 different options on the menu, and there are no buffet bars or pre-made boxes present, so once you’ve chosen your salad you can watch it being made fresh in front of you. Each order is finished with a sprinkle of nuts, seeds and fresh herbs, and comes with a signature dressing, all served in compostable or recyclable packaging.
