There’s more to BIRKENSTOCK than sandals and clogs
As we’re firmly in the socks with sandals camp, we believe that BIRKENSTOCK shoes can be worn all year round. But for those of you who prefer something a little sturdier for the colder months, the footwear brand is releasing a new line of closed boots and shoes for autumn/winter 2024. BIRKENSTOCK has been making shoes for 250 years and all that craftsmanship, plus some innovative design, has been poured into the new HIGHWOOD collection.
The two sleek silhouettes, the HIGHWOOD MID Slip-On Boot and the new HIGHWOOD LOW LACE shoe, both feature the signature BIRKENSTOCK footbed, offering the wearer comfort and stability as well as style. In keeping with BIRKENSTOCK’s mission to help people embrace walking and reconnect with nature, the collection will be launched with a free, multi-sensory immersive experience at BIRKENSTOCK Studios in Shoreditch.
Spatial designer David Curtis-Ring has taken inspo from nature and created a central installation for the space, featuring an array of fresh greenery and earthy tones, and sound artist Justin Wiggins has designed a calming and grounding soundscape to be played from handcrafted H.A.N.D.HIFI. sound systems. You’ll also be able to enjoy complimentary massages from east London-based studio Bodied, and, of course, pick up your own pair of HIGHWOOD shoes ready for the new season.
