Atul Kochhar’s pan-Indian restaurant Kanishka is here to spice up your weekends
Over eggs and avo? Fed up of fry ups? You need to switch up your brunch game and there’s no better place to do it than at Kanishka. At the Mayfair restaurant, Atul Kochhar and his kitchen team showcase flavours from across India’s different regions and that philosophy has been carried through to the weekend brunch menu.
It’s one you’ll want to be hungry for because you get a selection of eight dishes to share, followed by a large sharing main and sides. The sharing plates include specialities from the a la carte menu, including khari paneer tikka; Atul’s fried chicken with pickle mayo; naan kathi sheekh kebab roll; and aloo tikki with tamarind chutney.
For mains, you can opt for Ahuna ghost, lamb curry with chillies, fennel and stone flowers; palak paneer with baby spinach and tomato sauce; or baghar-e-baigan, aubergine steaks with veg mince, telgu baghar gravy and beans poriyal, all of which are served with daal, rice and naan. And then just to make sure you’re fit to burst, the brunch finishes with a platter of chocolate hazelnut choux, bhapa doi, and carrot halwa.
The brunch runs on Saturday and Sunday and comes in at £50 per person, with the option to add on a welcome Kanishka Punch cocktail and two hours of bottomless wine or beer for £65 per person.
