Step aboard the famous ship with this VR experience
You’ve seen Leo and Kate do it, and now you can explore the Titanic yourself thanks to VR company Eclipso and its latest experience, Titanic: Echoes From The Past. The famous ocean liner has been recreated using cutting-edge VR technology, allowing you to travel back in time and board the ship for its maiden voyage.
The experience starts with a virtual 3800-metre dive to the shipwreck on the ocean floor, and after uncovering camera footage shot by the Titanic’s official filmmaker William Harbeck, you go back to see the ship in all its glory. You get to walk through the cabins, the engine room and the iconic grand staircase, witnessing what life aboard was like and discovering the stories behind its journey, before watching the fateful iceberg collision from the captain’s cockpit.
It took two years of research to bring the experience to life, so if you’re fascinated by the history of the Titanic, it’s something you won’t want to miss.
