Try the new all-day spot inside Hotel Saint for less

The Cardinal Bar and Kitchen (named after the historic ‘Cardinal’ virtues of Justice, Fortitude, Temperance and Prudence) is the hotel’s new all-day dining restaurant that’s got conviviality at its heart. The menu is full of European classics, including dishes like:
- Scotch eggs with curry dijonnaise
- white salad with endive, cauliflower, fennel, walnuts and golden raisin mustard seed vinaigrette
- roast beef sandwich with pickled cucumber and rocket salad
- stracciatella with slow-roasted tomatoes, hazelnut dukkah and garlic toast
- bone-in pork chop with maple glazed apple and buttermilk mash
- ricotta gnudi with wild mushrooms and sage butter sauce
- sticky toffee pudding with armagnac ice cream
- pavlova with summer berries and yuzu curd
You can pair all of those with the bar’s comprehensive selection of beers and wines, or classic cocktails given a twist, such as the Square Mile Cosmopolitan, San Remo Royale and Saint Sbagliato. If you’re looking for a bite to eat in Aldgate, The Cardinal is the kinda place you want up your sleeve, especially as a terrace will be opening to make the most of the warmer weather.
