Named after the enchantress from the Odyssey, Circe’s is about to launch on a rooftop in Waterloo
Head to Waterloo this spring and summer to sip on cocktails at London’s latest rooftop bar. It’s called Circe’s, after the character from Greek mythology, and will be opening this May, taking over the former Bar Elba site, with a menu of vibrant cocktails and summery dishes.
The drinks list at Circe’s will follow the mythological theme, with drinks such as ‘Perse’s Picante’ (a spicy margarita named after Circe’s mother) and ‘Heles Mels’ (which comes with a ‘spell’ that combusts and disappears). But, if you’re in the mood for something classic, there’ll also be a range of spritzes and frozen cocktails, as well as plenty of premium spirits, wines and beers.
Food-wise, expect dishes such as bashed cucumbers with apricot harissa, toasted sesame, coriander and a coconut yoghurt dressing; serrano croquettes with chopped olives, grated manchego and romesco sauce; Cajun spiced fritto misto, calamari, prawns, fish goujons and saffron aioli; and a vegan beef smash burger with mustard, ketchup, pickles, lettuce and burger sauce.
