The fresh pasta spot is expanding into east London
Lina Stores has been growing steadily over the past few years and now the group is opening location number eight in Shoreditch this October. Taking up residence inside a Grade II-listed former bank, the restaurant will have 87 covers on the ground floor and aperitivo bar Bar Lina (the original opened underneath the Brewer Street last year) in the basement.
Many of the building’s original features, like the mosaic flooring and timber, have been restored, with the addition of the signature Lina Stores green, and there’s also a formica bar at the front of the space where you can watch the chefs in action. Like at other Lina Stores sites, the menu will include a range of antipasti, fresh pasta, secondi and dolci, such as:
- sea bream crudo with fennel, lemon and basil
- stracciatella and anchovies with grilled bruschetta
- spinach and ricotta tre latte gnudi
- truffle taglioni
- pappardelle with lamb sausage ragu
- spaghetti alla chitarra with Amalfi lemon and pink peppercorns
- luganega sausage with spring greens, chilli and garlic
- grilled hispi cabbage with porcini butter, pine nuts and black truffle
- Lina Stores tiramisu
There’ll be wines from across all of Italy on the wine list and if you want to keep the party going, you can head down to Bar Lina where DJs will be spinning synth-driven tracks from the late 70s and 90s on Wednesdays and everything from Italo disco to funk on the weekends.
