Go for a Mexican lunch or brunch for less
Opened by Adriana Cavita in Marylebone in 2022, Cavita is a celebration of food traditions from all over Mexico. Adriana’s menus draw on her roots in Mexico City, her travels around the country, and her love of street food borne from her grandmother’s roadside antojitos stall. As well spotlighting seafood at the raw bar, open-fire cooking is at the heart of the kitchen.
A new lunch menu has just landed at the restaurant, featuring dishes like:
- ceviche tostada with sea bream, red onion, avocado, citrus, lemon balm and ginger
- chargrilled tiger prawns with axiote marinade and pineapple sauce
- grilled oyster mushrooms with red adobo, arbor chile and herb sauce
- Iberico pork pastor taco with Oaxacan cheese and pineapple sauce
- cochinita pibil with guacasalsa, tortillas and pickled onion
- carne asada with red mole, leeks and parsnip puree
If you head into Cavita on the weekend, you can find brunch dishes like chilaquiles, tortilla chips sautéed in tomato and morita chile sauce with a fried egg; fried tortilla chips with red mole, grilled chicken and feta; huevos con chorizo; and huevos con nopales on offer too.
