Tas Gaitanos and Alex Large are growing their Brother Marcus group (they already have sites Borough Yards, Covent Garden, Spitalfields, Angel, South Kensington and Canary Wharf) with new site in Soho, taking over the spot where Social Eating House used to be. The restaurant will be serving up all the Eastern Mediterranean dishes you’ve come to know and love, including all-day mezze plates like:
- pan-fried halloumi with watermelon and mint reduction
- cod’s roe taramasalata with sumac onions
- prawn bisque striftoudi pasta with lemon, chives and urfa chill
- pan-seared bream with almond & dill gremolata
- roasted chicken with sun-dried tomato harissa, fresh herb salad and labneh
- Greek feta sausage with louvi beans, grated plum tomatoes and herb salad
- baklava sandwich with pistachio ice cream and honey cream
- kataifi cheesecake with Metaxa toffee, carob rusk, charred apricots and Corinthian raisins
The Soho restaurant will also be serving breakfast from 9am – 12pm on weekdays and the famous Brother Marcus brunch (the sweet potato, courgette and feta fritters, IYKYK) on weekends.
As well as a basement private dining room, the Soho site will also house dedicated cocktail bar Kamara, which has been developed by Angelos Bafas along with Tas and Alex, and will have cocktails featuring in-house macerated spirits and ferments.
