First opened by Jeet Mitra and Executive Chef Arsh Thakur in Marble Arch last autumn, BKC has just expanded with a second site in Soho, bringing that biryani, kebab and chai to even more Londoners. BKC specialises in Awadhi food (from the northern region of India where modern-day Lucknow is located), which is known for rich and slow-cooked dishes made for royalty, including a variety of kebabs, dum biryanis, kormas, sheermal and rumali rotis.

At the new BKC in Soho you can get all the signatures, including lamb galouti kebab, chicken malai tikka, lamb seekh kebab and Awadhi chicken biryani alongside new dishes like:

  • bhatti ka khargosh – chargrilled rabbit legs with allspice & yoghurt
  • tandoori lobster with corn on the cob & raw mango chutney
  • papdi chaat – savoury pastry topped with potato, chickpeas & chutneys
  • dahi ke kebab – marinated yoghurt dumplings with pepper, coriander & chilli
