The brand has been named the ‘world’s 6th best artisan pizzeria’ by 50 Top Pizza
Founded in Bolonga in 2010 by Calabrian brothers Matteo and Salvatore Aloe, Beberè now has 21 locations across Italy and three in London, in Clapham, Kentish Town and Tottenham Court Road. The brand is known for its sourdough base, which is made with organic flour and signature sourdough starter and left to rise for 24 hours, making it crispy yet fluffy.
The dough is topped with the best ingredients sourced from local London and Italian producers, including Latticini Orchidea mozzarella and Alce Nero organic tomatoes. The Berberè pizza selection includes:
- Salsiccia – Yorkshire pork sausage, tomato, fior di latte mozzarella and Parmigiano Reggiano
- 4 Formaggi with Mushrooms & Truffle – gorgonzola, fior di latte, provola, Parmigiano Reggiano, mixed mushrooms and truffle oil
- Napoli – Amalfi anchovies, black olives, fior di latte mozzarella, tomato and oregano
- Diavola Piccante – spicy salami, Calabrian ‘nduja, tomato, fior di latte mozzarella
Before you dive into the pizzas, you can start with antipasti like sourdough garlic bread and burrata with semi-dried tomatoes, and then finish your meal with classic Italian desserts like house-made tiramisu, cannoli and affogato. There’s also a range of spritzes, Negronis, natural Italian wines and beers from local breweries on the menu too.
