The new Sri Lankan spot comes from the team behind Kolamba

After finding success with Kolamba, first opened in Soho in 2019 with a second coming to Shoreditch last year, Eroshan and Aushi Meewella have now launched a new Sri Lankan restaurant celebrating the island’s street food scene. ADOH! in Covent Garden looks the part – the space features a vibrant palette of red, yellow and teal along with stainless steel, corrugated metal sheeting, and two custom murals by Sri Lankan artist Ruwangi “Roo” Amarasinghe.

Kothu, one of Sri Lanka’s famous street food items consisting of chopped roti, veggies, eggs and curry sauce, is at the heart of the ADOH! menu, coming in crab, chicken, mutton and jackfruit versions. Along with Arrack Old Fashioneds, Kithul rum punch and Milo shakes, the rest of the menu includes other beloved Sri Lankan dishes like:

  • crispy mutton rolls
  • lentil doughnuts with tomato, coconut and mint chutneys
  • chilli prawn toast with tamarind sauce
  • fried chicken with curry leaf waffle
  • roadside seafood fried rice
  • salted jaggery soft serve
