One of the city’s best Neapolitan pizza restaurants has come across the river
After running a series of pop-ups and residences, Andrea Asciuti opened a permanent 081 Pizzeria restaurant in Peckham in 2023 and it quickly became one of south London’s go-to pizza joints – it was even listed as one of the 50 Top Pizzas in Europe. Now he’s crossed the river and opened a second restaurant in Shoreditch.
The east London outpost of 081 Pizzeria features pizzas made with the brand’s signature 72-hour fermented dough, high-quality ingredients sourced from Italy, and unconventional toppings. You can get the likes of:
- Tunarella – with yellow cherry tomatoes, fior di latte mozzarella, red onions, black olive dust, and tuna fillets
- Meatballs and Ricotta Stuffed Crust – baked with a cooked tomato sauce base
- Pulled Genovese – with slow-cooked pulled beef brisket and ribs with a Genovese ragu
- Napoli Segreta – with provola, black olives, and piennolo tomatoes
- Black Truffle and Honey – with gorgonzola, fresh black truffle and hazelnut crumble
With Napoli-style tapas, pistachio doughnuts and Italian wines and cocktails also on the menu, you’ll wanna come hungry.
