The city’s OG smokehouse is relaunching its menu with the help of Richard H. Turner
When it comes to meat, there’s not many people better qualified than Richard H. Turner, who’s been involved with Hawksmoor, Meatopia and co-founded the butchers Turner & George. Now he’s joining Bodean’s as Chef Director and relaunching the BBQ joint’s menu, with the flagship Soho restaurant also getting a glow-up.
Sticking to the Bodean’s philosophy of ‘Barbecue, Bourbon & Beer’, the revamped menu will showcase Turner’s new ‘Bone Suckin’ Sauce’ and American classics like:
- Carolina pulled pork sandwich
- American shrimp cocktail
- smoked Jacob’s Ladder beef ribs
- mac & cheese
- Bodean’s BBQ Platter with pork ribs, beef ribs, pulled pork, brisket, smoked sausage, vinegar slaw, pickles and Texas toast
There’ll also be plenty of American whiskey, specifically small-batch bourbon and rye, on the drinks list alongside beers from London breweries like Five Points and Beavertown.
