The Xi’an restaurant has just launched its first weekend brunch menu
In addition to their signature murgers (slow-cooked meats like pork and spicy beef served in a flatbread) and 12-foot hand-pulled biang biang noodles, Murger Han in Elephant and Castle is now serving up a Xi’an-inspired brunch menu. That’s right, it’s time to trade those maple bacon pancakes for scallion pancakes and those overnight oats for congee as Murger Han is about to become your new Sunday morning go-to.
Exclusive to the SE17 branch of Murger Han, and only available on Saturdays and Sundays, the brand-new offering includes small plates such as:
- Jellied tofu with house special sauce
- Fried Chinese chive and egg dumplings
- Plain steamed dumplings
- Pan-fried pork dumplings
- Wonton soup
But, the real star of the show is the traditional Chinese tasting set, which comes served in a tray with a morning treat in each compartment. Inside, you’ll find deep-fried dough sticks, scallion pancakes, millet congee, steamed bun with meat stuffing, fried bread slices, condensed milk, black tea spiced egg, appetizer pickles, pan-fried chicken dumplings and a warm bowl of soya milk. Perfect for those of us who have a hard time picking just *one* thing from the menu.
