Get £5 Margaritas at All These Bars in Honour of National Margarita Day

Like the rest of the world, we’re rather partial to a margarita

So when there’s a whole day dedicated to the drink – 22nd February in case you wondering – we’re sure as hell gonna celebrate it. And we’re getting you all involved in the party too because we’ve teamed up with a whole host of London bars and restaurants to bring you £5 margs for National Margarita Day itself.

The origins of the margarita are mysterious – some say the combo of tequila, triple sec, and lime was first called a Tequila Daisy and mixed in Tijuana in 1936, others say Santos Cruz (head barman at the Balinese Room in Galveston, Texas) created the cocktail for and named it after singer Peggy (Margaret) Lee in 1948 – but there’s no denying that a serve always hits the spot. Now a multitude of different variations have sprung up from that original recipe, so whether you like it on the rocks, frozen, spicy or flavoured, there’s a margarita for you.

Here’s what you could be sipping on for just a fiver on National Margarita Day:
