Celebrate a decade of Frank’s with a big saving
Founded by Paul Warburton in 2014, Frank’s Canteen (named after his son) has been a Highbury fave for the last ten years, and it’s kept on getting better ever since the doors opened way back when. Once running as a daytime-only operation, the restaurant and wine bar is now open all week long.
Eloise Dawes (ex-Bentley’s Oyster Bar, Arbutus, Paradise Garage and Kudu) is now leading the kitchen, were she’s serving modern European dishes and contemporary takes on classic plates. Her dinner menu features the likes of:
- lamb shoulder croquettes with green peppercorn mayo
- roast Delica pumpkin with beurre blanc and rosemary cannellini beans
- boneless stuffed poussin with barley, Tunworth & leeks, and sauce diane
- halibut with celeriac purée, shallot jam, crispy shallots and sorrel
- dark chocolate mousse with apple caramel and mascarpone chantilly
It’s not just about dinner at Frank’s though, with the likes of croissant French toast with cinnamon sugar and dal with poached eggs, naan and chilli chutney on the breakfast menu, and sweet potato with honey butter, tahini yoghurt and confit tomatoes, and half a roast chicken with cavolo nero, mash and herb sauce on at lunchtimes.
