The Art of Banksy exhibition is back for another London run
It seems that we just can’t get enough of Banksy. The Art of Banksy exhibition first landed in London in the spring of 2021 after touring the world, popping up in cities from Melbourne to Miami, and following another international jaunt, it returned to the capital in 2023. After closing at the start of this year, the exhibition is back for another run, this time at a new space in Soho.
The exhibition features the largest collection of original and authenticated Bansky works from 1997 – 2008 with over 150 pieces on show. It’s not been authorised by the street artist and therefore not curated in collaboration with him (not really Banksy’s style is it?) so all the pieces on show are loans from private collectors.
You can check out the iconic ‘Flower Thrower’, ‘Rude Copper’, ‘Girl With Balloon’, and ‘Mona Lisa’, a previously unknown piece that was sold to a collector by a Hollywood A-lister who had bought the piece from Banksy in 2003, as well as artworks from Dismaland and ones that reference the war in Ukraine You’ll also be able to hear personal stories from some of Banksy’s close associates, giving extra insight into some of the most famous pieces of art on the planet.
