Just like with Creme Eggs, it’s greatly disputed as to whether there’s such a thing as ‘Sunday roast season’, or if it’s an all-year type deal. Whichever way you look at it, October is the perfect time for a roast, so it’s time to start getting those bookings in. And we’ve got a new one to put on your radar this autumn, as newly opened Irish-British spot BÓHA London has just launched its Sunday roast – and it is killer.
The concept comes from Jay Bradley from The Craft Irish Whiskey Co., and Made in Chelsea stars and Prime Time Lager founders Harvey Armstrong and Sam Holmes, while the menu is overseen by executive chef Anthony Fletcher (formerly of The Ned). Every Sunday, they crack out the Sunday roast menu, with options that start from £29 and include:
- Connemara organic smoked salmon, boxty cakes, buttermilk & green apple
- Whole roast herb-fed chicken, pine nut, pork and sage stuffing & chicken gravy
- Cannon of lamb Wellington, spinach, heritage carrots & rich lamb sauce
- Welsh Wagyu top rump roast
If you want to pair your lunch with a cocktail, you’ll have plenty of choices. BÓHA’s list of signature cocktails includes the likes of the ‘Bóha classic spiced Old Fashioned’ (which is made tableside with a rare single malt called The Taoscán), the ‘Mon Cheri’ (made with Le Portier Cognac, Azaline Saffron Vermouth, vanilla, cherry, and Lustau Oloroso Sherry) and the ‘My Little Dear’ (with Tanqueray No.10, peach, RinQuinQuin, lemon, and English sparkling wine).
