Underground bar Lucy Wong, inspired by Richard Mason’s 1957 novel The World of Suzie Wong and its depiction of late-1950s Hong Kong, is bringing some glamour and decadence to Fitzrovia with its Asian-inspired cocktails, Cantonese dishes, and late-night opening hours. As well as its existing Asian-inspired afternoon tea, Lucy Wong has upgraded its House of Suntory afternoon to include bottomless cocktails and launched the new Bottomless Spritz Afternoon Tea, all of which are served between 3pm – 5pm on Saturdays.
All of the afternoon teas include free-flowing Chinese tea, dim sum, salmon & pork mini-bao, duck puffs, and sweets like coconut pandan mousse, chocolate soya caramel tart and ginger & apple spiced friand (there’s also a vegan version available). If you wanna make it boozy, you can go for the Bottomless Suntory Afternoon Tea, featuring cocktails made using House of Suntory spirits, or the Bottomless Spritz Afternoon Tea, with 90-minutes of free-flowing summer spritz cocktails.
Go for the classic Aperol Spritz or mix things up with brand new, Asian-influenced summer serves, like the Sansho Spritz (Tanqueray gin, Kiyoko Yuzu Sake, sansho pepper, Prosecco & pomelo tonic), the Miao Spritz (Azaline Saffron vermouth, St Germain elderflower liqueur, cranberry, cherry bitters, Prosecco & soda) or the Ruby Qipáo (Chambord, Creme de Mure, cucumber bitters, shiso, Prosecco & pink grapefruit soda).
