Learn the art of screen printing from the masters
You may know Print Club London for its online gallery – it showcases artists who work with screen printing and regularly curates collections for Choose Love to help raise funds for the charity that supports displaced people and refugees – but it’s also a place where you can make art of your own. The Dalston studio runs a range of workshops, including Beginner Workshops, which are perfect if you’re keen to learn what the craft is all about.
After an introduction to the studio, you’ll learn how to coat screens for printing, different digital and analogue techniques that can be used to prepare images, how to expose them on a screen, how to make a stencil for printing, and some key printing techniques before you print a small edition of pieces. Whether you’ve got a doodle you’d love to turn into a proper piece of art or a fave photograph you wanna play around with, all you need to bring is a design and then you can get creative in the studio.
