THIS RESTAURANT IS BRINGING ‘VIBE DINING’ TO KNIGHTSBRIDGE

Geode, opening on Beauchamp Place, will be fusing Asian and Mediterranean flavours in its quest for good vibes

Not sure what ‘vibe dining’ is? According to Geode, which’ll be opening in Knightsbridge, the combination of theatricality, old-school glamour and music is the key to achieving those hallowed vibes. The restaurant is being opened by Salvatore Broccu and Marios Louvaris (who are both ex-Novikov) and the pair are definitely going for the ‘more is more’ approach. Across three floors of a Georgian townhouse, Geode will boast a colourful stone and bronze bar, an all-black conservatory with an open-plan kitchen and a second dining room on the upper floor, with colour schemes of coral and terracotta, lavender and blue, and olive green in reference to various parts of the Mediterranean.

There’ll be two chefs leading the food offering at Geode; Executive Head Chef Francesco Scala will be overseeing the Mediterranean dishes and Japanese Chef Yuka Aoyama will be in charge of the Asian plates, which include the likes of:

  • beef tartare on roasted bone marrow
  • Cataplana Spanish fish stew
  • king crab gunkan
  • tai miso sea bream

The cocktail list will also reflect Mediterranean and Asian influences and nod to the geode theme with serves like the Ruby Negroni, the Amber Old Fashioned and the Topaz Martini. Come evening, the vibes will kick into high gear as a curtain drops in front of the kitchen in the conservatory and live music and DJs perform in the bar and lounge area. And for those who want to eat while the vibes happen around them, the upper floor dining area will serve food until late.
