Thoseof you with a yearning for the days of French past – arrête et écoute! Sydney born singer-songwriter Geno Carrapetta has a little something that might just tickle your fancy. With it’s smokily seductive whispers, his latest album ‘Privé’ is a laid-back psych homage to the films and music of France in the 1960’s. Have a listen to the album’s lead track, ‘Éternité’, below.
‘Privé’ is Carrapetta’s fourth solo release, though you may also know him from his days touring and recording with Dark Bells and Gentlemen. Where his previous efforts have been significantly more experimental, this latest effort is a step in a more conceptual direction – and it’s sounding pretty good to us.
‘Privé’ is available now via RIP Records.
