Another day, another vegan restaurant. The new opening in Shoreditch is plant-based spot Genesis. Founded by Alex and Oliver Santoro of vegan food company Raw Imagination, this will be plant-based, GMO-free and organic (it’s gonna be one of the few London venues to hold the Soil Association’s ‘Organic Served Here’ Award). Drawing inspiration from around the world, the menu will feature the likes of fried avocado tacos, laksa soup, kale caesar salad, aloo tikki chaat, banh mi hotdogs, shawarma with Israeli salad, brownie sundaes, bread & butter pudding and dairy-free soft serve. All bases will be well and truly covered.
And the same goes for the drinks, with cold-pressed juices, milkshakes, kombucha, cocktails, cold-brew coffee and organic beers and wines all on the list. Expect Genesis to look the part too; the two-storey space is gonna include pastel pink tiles, marble, copper and neon aka insta gold.
