We Shoe Carnival. It’s bold and bright in the big yellow box at the moment and it’s hard not to be tempted by the array of shoes on offer…But it’s not just for the girls, oh no!! The men’s shoe galleries opened in November last year to become the world’s biggest destination for men’s footwear. It’s beautiful design and masculine approach to the department makes shopping in the space a real treat, and not to mention the fact that there are 70 thousand pairs of shoes available at any one time?! Men have never had so much choice!
The carnival vibe is certainly alive in this sleek space. With fairground style bulbs flashing from all corners, bright jewel coloured balloons are tied to shoes as if they were flying away, and the walls pop with sideshow style typography.
In collaboration with the Shoe Carnival, The Generic Man and their creative genius Greg Chapman have teamed up with Selfridges to create a completely exclusive collection for the modern gent. You won’t be able to get these bad boys anywhere else and you’ve got to get in there quick as they’re are selling out as fast as Usain Bolt runs the 100 meters.
The Chapman shoe and the Chapman boot are two completely new designs from The Generic Man, and the collection features another 9 styles, which come in exclusive colourways.
Our favourite has to be the Chapman boat shoe. Made from pebble leather, it’s a classic with a twist, the hit of sea foam green makes these a must have for Summer 13’.
Put on your dancing shoes guys, you haven’t got any other choice!
