GENER8ION Is Taking Over 180 Studios This Summer

If you’ve been anywhere near the internet in the last few weeks, you’ve probably already clocked the Storm short film – that beautifully unhinged, viral piece featuring Yung Lean that’s had everyone from culture journalists to your most film-literate friend sending it around. Well, the minds behind it are bringing their whole world to London this summer, and it looks seriously special.

GENER8ION is the collaborative world of filmmaker Romain Gavras and French super-producer, DJ and composer Surkin. Their exhibition VISIONS OF 2034 takes over 180 Studios from 12th June, premiering seven new short films set in a near-future world across Leeds, Mumbai, Athens, LA and beyond — with Yung Lean, 070 Shake, Yannis Philippakis, Charlize Theron and choreographer Damien Jalet all featuring. There’s also a brand new site-specific immersive installation and unseen archive material, all opening on the same day as their new album LOVE & TEARS drops.

At £15 for nearly two months of programming, it’s one to get in the diary now.
