BBQ specialists From The Ashes are relaunching The Ram Inn with a brand new food menu
Since 2020, From The Ashes has been serving up a menu of nose-to-tail BBQ out of their hatch in Hackney Wick. But in October the hatch was shuttered as they were headed down sarf for a stint at Gipsy Hill Brewery’s taproom. Now, they’re moving into the former Ram Inn in Wandsworth, which they’re relaunching as THE RAM x From The Ashes.
FTA founders Martin Anderson and Curtis Bell met at temper Soho in 2019 and decided to start up a delivery service before graduating to their east London collection spot. They became a neighbourhood fave after not too long, known for their smoky, meaty and flavour-packed dishes. This time round, they’re doing something a little different, with their focus being on serving up classic pub grub with an FTA twist – they’ll still have an in-house smoker, of course. Expect the likes of:
- Beer-battered pickles
- Pork fat popcorn with adobo salt
- Welsh rarebit with smoked tomatoes
- Guinness and treacle-glazed smoked short-rib
- Doughnut ice cream sandwich
Alongside their daily offering, you’ll also be able to drop into THE RAM on Sundays for a roast, with options such as porchetta with smoked apple sauce, half a smoked chicken with stuffing and Marmite-glazed celeriac. And as for drinks, sounds like there’ll be lots of beer and boozy cocktails – cheers to that.
