Fires have returned, fully refuelled after lying low since their hugely successful 2011 album, Pala, with some flaming new notes in collaboration with DJ, producer, remixer duo, Andy Weatherall and Tim Fairplay, aka The Asphodells, following the release of their 2013 critically acclaimed first album ‘Ruled by Passion Destroyed by Lust’.

The musical maestro’s assembled at an East London pub last year, decided to step out of their respective comfort zones and move away from their usual musical style, resulting in the recording and mixing up of two new tracks ‘Before your Eyes’ and ‘Velo’.

Friendly Fires, normally part of the XL Recordings family, have chosen this experimental collaboration to be the debut release off of their own label, Telophase and will release the tracks as a AA sided single on 31 March.
