Fluffy chick steamed buns, bunny-shaped macaron ice cream sandwiches…you can always count on Easter treats to be cute and this year’s special from Danish-inspired bakery Ole & Steen is no exception. Their Easter Chick passion fruit whips are a twist on the Danish classic flødebolle and are made of fluffy marshmallow with a passion fruit curd centre, dipped in chocolate, rolled in coconut and iced with little chick faces. And if that wasn’t sweet enough, Ole & Steen are giving a whole load of chickies away over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend – that’s this Friday to Monday.
1000 chicks will be up for grabs (that’s 250 across each of the four days) but you will have to go hunting for them. Chick Plaques have been hidden near every Ole & Steen store in London (so that’s Canary Wharf, Notting Hill, Marylebone, Hampstead, Kensington, Belgravia, Leicester Square, Oxford Circus, Richmond, St James’s, Westfield White City, Tottenham Court Road and Victoria) and you need to find three of them, snap a selfie aka a chick pic with each of them, and then head into a bakery and show off your photos to receive a free Easter Chick. They’re only available while stocks last though so you’ll wanna swoop there early to make sure you catch one.
