you live in or around Poplar or you just fancy a trip East, The Games on The Screen is the event for you. It’s a free family event happening this weekend and the organisers have one aim. That aim, to get local people together to have a party whilst celebrating the games that are taking place in what feels like our own backyard.

There will be a large screen showing clips from the days Olympic events including the men and women’s 100 metre final as well as films (yes Cool Runnings has made the cut) and sport-related feature films for everyone to enjoy. You can take a picnic or check out one of the food stalls that will be on site over the weekend. No alcohol allowed people. Its a family event after all.

So feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme, come on Jamaica (Poplar) its bobsleigh time!!!!!
