francesco mazzei x tom aikens charity cook-off

If you like doing some good for the world while tucking into dinner then this celeb chef charity cook off will be just your thing. On February 19th two top London chefs, Francesco Mazzei and Tom Aikens, will go head to head to raise awareness of food waste by cooking a three course dinner using surplus food. With all proceeds going towards The Felix Project charity, Aikens’ and Mazzei’s dishes will be voted on by diners using the BBC’s iconic red tomato and green pepper scorecards from the show Ready, Steady, Cook, with one chef being declared the winner by the end of the night.

So not only will you have dinner cooked for you by two great chefs, you’ll also be using up surplus food which would otherwise go to waste AND donating money to The Felix Project to further help the cause. The Felix Project collect surplus stock from supermarkets, wholesalers, and retailers and deliver it to various charities, providing vulnerable people with food and nutrition. Mazzei will host the evening at his latest opening, Fiume, located right on the river by Battersea Power Station. Tickets are £35 and include a three-course dinner and a glass of fizz.
