FORTNUM & MASON TO OPEN THE CHAPEL OF LOVE

Planning to get hitched this Valentine’s? Or maybe you want to renew your vows? Forget the church or the registry office and do it inside Fortnum & Mason instead. Yep the iconic department store (which is actually already a licensed wedding venue) is upping the ante this February by opening the Chapel of Love, London’s first-ever in-store wedding installation.

The 14-metre chapel will stretch from the atrium of the lower ground floor right up to the second floor, and includes the famous Fortnum’s clock, illuminated stained-glass windows and a chiming bell for the full wedding experience, and it’s totally FREE too. If you want it to be legal, you’ll need to have your registrar and marriage license organised in advance – no drunen mistake weddings happening here – but the chapel is opening to anyone, so you could just go along and pretend.
