Fancied yourself as a bit of a forager? Well now you can give it a go as George Fredenham, aka Flavour Fred, is hosting a series of summer foraging walks around Hackney Marshes. Fred will lead you on a two-and-a-half-hour trip around Hackney Marshes, where you’ll learn how to identify an array of seasonal ingredients (like wild fruits, wild spices, herbs and fungi) and compare these edible plants with their dangerous counterparts. Fred will also dive into the history and folklore surrounding foraging, discuss soil heath, and share some preservation techniques that you can use with wild ingredients at home, and you’ll get to enjoy a few wild snacks along the way too.
