for art’s sake is opening in london

You may have spied its shades on the likes of Beyonce and J Lo but prepare to be seeing a lot more as For Art’s Sake is opening its first standalone shop in the piazza in Covent Garden.

The store will be an extension of the brand’s signature bold design with blue velvet, brass fixtures, and a big window installation from Studio Lapêche. It’ll also feature a selfie station (you gotta make sure those frames look good), personal shopping offered in five languages and a very handy click and collect service.

Since its foundation in 2016, For Art’s Sake has released six collections, all of which encapsulate the playful and daring attitude the brand has become known for. The latest range, Out Of This World, is no different, mixing sleek versions of classic aviator and cat-eye shapes with designs of pure fantasy. There’s a pair adorned with bejewelled bees, a pair with teddy bear-shaped lenses and a pair with mermaids reaching round either side. These are statement frames taken to the next level.
