The multi-use development is opening in Canada Water this spring
KERB and Broadwick know a thing or two about creating spaces where people can experience food and music, and now the two are teaming up to open brand-new multi-use destination Corner Corner. Part of the £4bn regeneration of Canada Water, the development will bring food, culture, live music and sustainable farming together in one place.
A key component of Corner Corner will be a food hall, with a kitchen line-up curated by KERB that will showcase the diversity of London’s independent food scene. Sustainability will be a huge focus too, with Harvest London installing the city’s biggest commercial indoor vertical farm in the space. As well as providing fresh produce for the Corner Corner food hall and all-day cafe, the farm will supply other London restaurants in an effort to build a hyper-local food system and host interactive experiences for locals.
Broadwick will be overseeing the cultural elements of Corner Corner with its take on a jazz club. The programme will include a rotating line-up of resident selectors playing jazz, funk, soul, world music and disco on Thursday evenings, with live jazz and other shows on Fridays and Saturdays. The 18,000 sq ft live space will also play host to immersive experiences.
Speaking about Corner Corner, Simon Tracey, CEO of Broadwick said, “Each visit to Corner Corner offers a fresh experience that pushes creative boundaries. It’s not just about scale, but about rethinking what spaces like this can do — from cultivating an environment where the most exciting talent in the jazz scene want to perform, to installing a one of a kind vertical farm that makes sustainability both visually stunning and integral to the food on your plate. Everything about Corner Corner is groundbreaking – it is a landmark project for Canada Water and London’s cultural scene.”
