The Irish five-piece will be playing the park this summer
Going from playing for about 30 people in The Finsbury to playing for 45,000 people in Finsbury Park is testament to just how popular Fontaines D.C. have become. As well as picking up BRIT and NME Awards and Ivor Novello and Mercury Prize nominations, the band have built up a reputation for incredible live shows and they’re all set to deliver another – their biggest one yet – to the people of north London this summer.
The massive outdoor show comes after their ROMANCE world tour (which made a sold-out stop in Ally Pally). ROMANCE, the band’s fourth album featuring singles ‘Starburster’ and ‘Favourite’, came out on 23rd August and is their best record yet, so if you didn’t manage to get tickets for the tour, you won’t want to miss them in Finsbury Park.
Joining them on the day will be Australian punk band Amyl and the Sniffers, Kneecap, Blondeshell, Been Stellar, and Cardinals, so it’s set to be quite the show.
