FOLIE TO OPEN IN SOHO
Guillaume Depoix, who’s worked for the Costes family as well as Alain Ducasse at Plaza Athénée in France and under Sir Terence Conran in London, is opening Folie in Soho this summer. Taking over Pizza Express on Golden Square, he’s got a prime spot for his debut restaurant, which is set to be a modern all-day brasserie that goes from breakfast in the morning to cocktails at night.
Folie will have 100 covers across two floors, with the interiors drawing inspo from the French Riveria and 60s and 70s St Germain. Being a brasserie the food menu will cover plenty of bases; fresh baked pastries, croque madames, salad niçoise, sharing dishes like cote de boeuf, leg of lamb and whole turbot, vegan options, and a competitively priced lunchtime market menu.
