The Flat Iron empire is expanding with site number seven opening in London Bridge. The Tooley Street restaurant has a tavern feel to it with a floor-to-ceiling mahogany and brass shopfront, a six-metre mosaic, wood parquet flooring and a zinc-topped island bar in the front, and a stone slab floor and copper fountain in the rear dining rooms.
The classic Flat Iron menu, including those £10 steaks, is present and correct with the new addition of a baked alaska, which is blowtorched at the table. The London Bridge branch is also home to a pour-your-own blood orange negroni fountain where a classic negroni mix has been blended with fresh blood orange juice and blood orange oil. We’ll drink to that.
