flat iron to open in king’s cross

£10 steaks are coming to King’s Cross as Flat Iron prepares to open site number six. As well as serving up their namesake flat iron steak, other cuts like the underblade fillet, tri tip and rump cap, taken from their own Yorkshire cows will also be on offer at the King’s Cross restaurant, as well as some very exciting sounding newbies.

One is wagyu fries, an upgrade on their beef dripping fries, which are cooked in wagyu fat, and another is made-to-order ice cream; fresh custard will be poured onto a supercooled slab, worked over with paddles and then customised with toppings like wild Amerena cherry syrup and Congelese Cru Virunga chocolate. The bar is getting in on the action too with new DIY Bloody Mary boxes, filled with house-made chestnut smoked vodka, beef tea, fresh horseradish, spices and tomato juice, so you can mix up a bevvy at your table. Wagyu fries and fresh ice cream? IN.

Get down there on opening day because the Flat Iron team will be giving away all the cuts from an entire 300-day aged Dexter steer for FREE from 6pm – so the steaks are free and you only have to pay for drinks and sides.

Opens Thurs 4th October 2018
