You’ve probably eaten tarte flambee (thin crispy dough topped with creme fraiche, onion and bacon) on your hols in France or Germany but you’ll soon be able to get it right here in London when Flamboree opens on Old Street.
Flamboree (so named because it’s like a jamboree in your mouth apparently) will be serving up tarte flambee with toppings like roast & pulled chicken, crème fraiche, spicy taliwang sauce and tomatoes; roasted peppers & aubergine, feta, tahini and za’atar; and bacon lardons, creme fraiche, red onions, emmental cheese and herb aioli. And you can wash all those flams down with one of their collab beers made with Reunion Ales.
