folk duo First Aid Kit have a fanbase that reads like a festival lineup; Jack White, Lykee Li, Conor Oberst and Fleet Foxes but to name a few and within moments of listening to the sister’s third studio album Stay Gold it’s pretty obvious as to why this is the case.

Less line dancing at the end of a disco in the nineties (why did that always happen?) and more of a glistening, intimate take on western with effortless dark undertones, Stay Gold sounds like the silver lining to a dark cloud, there’s even a track called Silver Lining! Klara and Johanna manage to build stories within their music and utilise more unique sounds than in previous albums. Stay Gold sees FAK blossom and it’s FAKing fantastic to hear.
